Ice may well be good when it is blow hot out there, but the misery melts so fast that the drink tas

It's been a while since I wrote about the American phenomenon here on the blog. Today it is once again time to take up a small American phenomenon as it might be a little hard to get used to but you get used to ... ICE! Ice in drinks. The ice should only be in a glass of water, or in a glass of soda, or a highball. No, it's not enough with two small pieces of ice floating on the surface. NO! Full glass, filled with ice, and then the drink should be poured on. This concept runs the vast majority of restuarants and most fast-food hangout (sans the grog, då'rå), and heck, most American homes. To serve water without ice is not on the world map. Neither hussmann one sees someone sitting and drinking hussmann soda from glass without hussmann ice. Well, you see an !! Namely I !!! I have not fully embraced the whole isstilen yet, and I go to fast food places, and I'll drink myself, so take jg always without ice. I do not really know why, but I do not think that is always needed. In almost all American refrigerators are built in ice machines. The whole time on the ice is filled automatically, and if you want ice so you simply push a button on the freezer door so you get ice cubes or crushed ice. Ice water will be too, and I'm here at home and I'll take the water straight from the door. Without ice! Ice machines are quite large, hussmann and they take up a large part of the freezer. It's not good. I have a side-by-side freezer and refrigerator. AND the day I move, or buy new, so it will not be a side-by-side again. The freezer is ridiculously narrow, hussmann the ice maker takes up a fifth of the space, and although it is convenient hussmann to take ice water right out the door it's really quite unnecessary. Admittedly, the water then filtered, and I imagine that it tastes better. When I came to the United States for the first time and opened the tap, I thought I ended up in a swimming hussmann pool !! The water here is much more than the chlorinated drinking water we are used to from the north. It is so chlorinated that taste becomes. A lot. But, you get used to and now I do not reflect on it. But as soon as you get home so guests coming up the topic under discussion. On the fly! And it is no wonder, for it shows, as I said. It is therefore not surprising hussmann that so many choose to filter their water, either through hussmann the freezer (like we do) or with special pitcher. Many also buy their drinking water. Ice can also be purchased in huge ice packs. The ispåsarna usually often pour into large zinc tubs if you have a party. AND in the pods then you put down beer bottles, wine bottles, drinking and what not ... very nice, and looks looks nice too. Often placed this out on their deck so guests can go get their drink there. IS as obvious as American apple pie. ANY DAY !!
Ice may well be good when it is blow hot out there, but the misery melts so fast that the drink tastes like dishwater after a while. The water in the tap is really not good. I try to avoid even brush your teeth with it, even though T has extra filters on the water pipe in the basement. It tastes anyway Blak. Good post Annika. Have a great day. Hug Wednesday, June 09, 2010 7:14:00 AM
Camilla: I'm glad you liked it all! Ice is there on everyone's glass in this country. Always. Haha, I remember hussmann when I was new in U.S. and thinking of buying water when I brushed my teeth. Luckily, I got used to now. Filters in vattenlednignarna is the Magna that has, forgot to take it up in the post ... HUGS !! Wednesday, June 09, 2010 7:21:00 AM
Interestingly o fun post! I have never ice in my drinks. Hate soft but like middle tap water, hussmann which are in jugs in cooling with low Sliced cucumber in ... METS !! Fy bubble over chlorinated water. Trying to think about when I used an ice cube last ... impossible to remember ?? HUGS !! Wednesday, June 09, 2010 7:36:00 AM
I must have ended up in a small ice-free part of the United States. hussmann For this drink the most water / soda / drinks without ice. Lo and behold! Of course you have ice in kind "on the rocks-drinks" but never filled the glass with ice, soda, etc.. I myself am no isfantast, especially in the summer when it melts quickly and the drink becomes watery. The chlorinated water, I'll never get used to. Ugh so disgusting it is. We have filters that sits directly on the faucet so you do not keep on with filter pitcher. And the water in the bottle, I never buy - ugh and fy what a waste and environmental woes! Do not understand people who buy back after back with plastic bottled water. Fy and ashamed! Wednesday, June 09, 2010 8:03:00 AM
Bettankax. It's so different how to use ice here, and how it is used at home. Chlorine in the water is not fun, and the taste feels really hussmann well. Oddly enough, hussmann I got used to the shit, but IOF, we filter the drinking water. Glad you liked the post !! HUGS !!! Wednesday, June 09, 2010 8:04:00 AM
Sporty-Petra: Yes, it is probably hussmann unusual. What if you go on the MCD and the like then? Though, it does well, you never;-) Now pour the self to itself of the drink ocksp the FF points. Many people buy the water in the mare

Set earlier in the day to dream about Thailand travel, but I think making your right is a bit cheap

This is a simple and quick thai dish with lots of delicious adsorption chiller flavor. You have enough of an immigrant shop to get the panang curry paste and kaffir lime leaves, but both are ingredients that you can have in the fridge and freezer for a long time, so you have it available the next time you make Thai food. Kaffir lime leaves are available both fresh and dried. The dried lime leaves provide nowhere near the flavor that the fresh gear. So I recommend that you buy a bag of fresh leaves, and then freeze the ones you do not use. Lime leaves can withstand freezing just fine. Lime leaves should only give flavor to the court, they shall not be eaten. Just like when using bay leaves. Panang curry paste reminds very much about the red curry paste. I prefer panang, but you can not get hold of panang, you buy a red curry paste instead. The ingredient list looks something similar out, except that the panang usually contain some extra coriander, adsorption chiller spisskummin and cardamom.
To two people 6 fresh kaffir lime leaves canola oil 3 tablespoons panang curry paste 1 can coconut milk 400g tender beef into strips 2 teaspoons Sukrin 2 teaspoons fish sauce a little red chilli broccoli into small florets _______________________________________________________________________________ Knørv lime leaves, adsorption chiller so they do not taste. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or wok and add the beef and brown it quickly on high heat. Add the curry paste and brokkolibukettene and fry briefly with the meat without burning the paste. Add the boiling milk, lime leaves, Sukrin, fish sauce and bring to a boil. Boil the broccoli and meat is tender. adsorption chiller Adjust if necessary. adsorption chiller A little water if the sauce becomes too thick. Flavour of the balance between the sweet Sukrin and the salty fish sauce is the way you want it. Cut the chili into thin strips and add just before serving.

recommend trying to create your own currypaste. Once you've tried it you'll adsorption chiller never return to the pre-purchased:-) recipe follows 1 tablespoon coriander seeds 1 tsp cumin seeds 1/2 tsp peppercorns 4 stalks lemongrass, adsorption chiller only the bottom half, finely chopped 5 cm galangalrot, finely chopped 6 kaffirlimeblader, finely chopped 1 tsp grated zest of kaffir lime or regular lime 4 coriander roots beaten and chopped 5 thaisjalott or half the usual red onion, finely chopped 12 cloves garlic, lightly crushed and finely chopped 12 large dried chillies without seeds, soaked for 30 minutes and then "wrung out" finely chopped 1 teaspoon shrimp paste by penangcurry added 4 tablespoons adsorption chiller unsalted and crushed peanut adsorption chiller seeds roasted in hot pan before than they are crushed in a mortar. After this, add one and one ingridiens in the mortar. mixer, blender, or the like may also be used, but then the oil is added to obtain a fair consistency. Good luck;-) Reply Delete
Yes, homemade is always best! This does look rather like a good recipe, so I'll adsorption chiller try to do it one day. It is the much Thai food in this house. I suppose this is the recipe for a red curry paste? Thank you so much for the great recipe :) Reply Delete
Here you will mainly find recipes that are adapted to a LCHF-diet (or low carb if you want). LCHF-diet adsorption chiller low in carbohydrates and plenty of fat. More about LCHF find you take a look at the links I've posted a little further down the page.
I eat LCHF because my body is good for it. But I think also that it is not healthy to only think about their health when eaten. Food should also be pleasure and enjoyment. Fortunately adsorption chiller not exclude one another, something I try to view these pages.
I'm also a fan of the food is natural and relatively simple without a lot of substitute products. By that I mean that you will find lots of recipes in here with artificial sweeteners, adsorption chiller soy flour or protein adsorption chiller powder, which I think is a little too prevalent when looking for recipes with low carbohydrate content. I'm also big fan of making food from scratch. When is the best. And indeed it is often just as easy as using semi. Keeps you out of pure natural ingredients - ingredients that do not have the ingredients, but ingredients that are in themselves - so you get the best, healthiest and most satisfying dining experiences.

Oh, the brownies looked amazing good out! : D I

I made myself this little raw-roject just to get inspiration eater and test new recipes. My first test was this raw brownies. I am very, very happy. Originally recipe coolworld from My New Roots, a complete lovely blog. I've done a little bit about it, but the principle is the same: Date + walnuts + chocolate = the prettiest chocolate cake. I made it with chopped almonds + raisins and macadamia nuts + raisins (I love sjokoladeovertrukne raisins!), And both were delicious, but the taste certainly delicious natural too. Give this recipe a try, and I can (almost) guarantee that you will not be disappointed. It tastes like chewy, undercooked TORO brownie, only much, much better! I like it straight from the freezer - then the real chewy and good!
Raw brownie 3 cup dates 3 cup walnuts 3 tablespoons cocoa 1/2 cup water (if your dates are juicy, you may not need this - see what an) a good pinch of Maldon optional additions coolworld (chopped nuts, raisins, chocolate chips ...) Mos dates, walnuts, cocoa, water and salt with hand blender. Mix in what you may want nuts etc. Squeeze brownies into a suitable form / box. Enjoyed cold from the freezer or refrigerator. For example, you can serve brownies on top of the banana-cashew-chocolate ice-cream. Simply coolworld just frozen bananas, cashewsmør and cocoa powder that is mixed together with hand blender. Adventurous well!

Lovely lovely lovely! I love raw food and eat almost only that (plus oven baked / cooked vegetables here and there) and I think it's the best there is. It feels so good in kropoen. How have you been feeling these days? Raw brownies are a favorite and the ones from my new roots, I also made a few times and they are perfect! Good weekend fine Vilde Reply Delete
I think this sounds like a good combination, and the most important thing is that you enjoy it! I think it is very good and I really coolworld liked it, but I will not "control" with it. Of course it is not difficult if you just go in for it, but I like to eat my porridge and my pancakes and anything fried / boiled;) coolworld I'm coolworld too fond of giving up! It really positive eating raw food, was that I got to me so much more fruits and vegetables than usual (which is not so very little coolworld from before) and it felt really good :) I'll continue! Have a great upcoming week, dear! Delete
NAM! Talk about watering given, also so few ingredients it took! Created a brownie with black beans before, coolworld it was very good. Vegan, but not raw as far as I remember: P Mmmm, maybe I should try this! Good weekend: D x http://julesthenorweegie.blogspot.co.uk/ Reply Delete
It looks like magic! : D Reply Delete
Oh, the brownies looked amazing good out! : D I'm a bit careful with nuts, in that I react to some sort .. But maybe it works without too ...? Would have been fun to try! Have a nice Sunday evening! Hugs :) Reply Delete
Boring react to nuts. It does indeed Magnus too, but cashews, almonds, peanuts, pistachios (ie "nuts" that are not actual nuts) can tolerate him. Is it like that with you too? I've wondered a bit about Alva's going to be allergic to the same things as him, but now she has taste raw browniedeig (yes, I could not resist when we "baked together" in place ...), and she did not seem to react at all (and she loved it!). Hooray! coolworld : D I made them the way with half almonds today and it worked brilliant! Have a good week, guessed! : D Delete
Hah! I really coolworld only notice it when I've eaten hazelnuts and walnuts. So maybe it works with the other types: D It takes nothing drastic, just the itching in the throat, but to be on the safe side, I have kept me away;) So good it appears that Alva is not allergic to nuts! Always a little adventurous when it comes to foods one can react. But mostly it goes the good! : D Reply Delete
You should not ignore that there is something similar that Magnus has! He reacts not as strong, coolworld just a scratchy throat. Do you have any other allergies? Magnus has nuts + apples + pears + + nectarines pollen. May be some jumpers there. Whatever it might be good to get checked? Possibly coolworld only test yourself, since you do not die of it;) Delete
Hehe. true that! Is it just enough that it is uncomfortable that makes me stay away. I react to shellfish, and some stone fruits. But I was diagnosed with pollen allergies in the summer, so it is probably true that some cross allergies that come into play. Hope all is well with you <3 Many hugs from me :) Reply Delete

When the only vegetables in the fridge are carrots and onions? What do you do then? Yes, when you make fall stew! A week with a lot of cooking has gone hard over an otherwise chock full fridge, and today it was almost devoid of vegetables at home. Crisis? Nope. I call it a challenge! A hungry vegan can their kitchen tricks. togen The starting point was thus an onion and a bunch of carrots. Combined with fresh ginger, coconut milk and the right spices, they were relatively few ingredients for a flavor bomb of a pot with an insolent good sauce! Yes, the sauce was actually so good that we supplied us several times just for that. Had to tilt the pan and make sure to get everything to the last drop. I have therefore adjusted the recipe slightly and increased the amount of sauce compared to vegetables. The finished recipe contains plenty of gravy goodness that you no shame to pour on the plate.
(4 pers) 1/2 kg carrots, sliced (approx 5 adults carrots) 2 yellow onions, coarsely chopped 1/2 cup canola oil 1 large piece of fresh ginger, chopped small (= a good 1 cup) 5 large cloves garlic, finely chopped (= about 1/2 cup) 2 cans coconut milk (= 8 ml) spices: 2 tablespoons paprika 1 tablespoon togen ground cumin 1 tablespoon whole cumin seeds 1 tablespoon turmeric 1.5 tsp salt about 1 pinch chilli powder (to taste) has at the very end : juice of 1/2 lime a small handful of fresh parsley, finely chopped togen 1 Heat the oil in a large saucepan and glossy onions in this. Add the ginger togen and garlic and cook for a further couple of minutes. 2 Pour the coconut milk and add all the spices, bring to a boil. 3 Add the carrot slices and simmer with the lid carrots are barely tender, about 15-20 min. 4 Season with lime juice and stir in the chopped parsley. * Server autumn stew with lime slices next to it, so that each one can squeeze over a little extra acidity on the plate. Finely togen chopped parsley togen and salt should also be available at the table. togen It does the trick namely! * Rice is suitable as accessories. Please use black rice that I have spent here, or another type of "brown" or "rough" rice. * Since some types of coconut milk is creamier than others, you may need to add some water to the pot if you think it is too thick. Heath carrot!
Can assure you that it tastes like nom nom as it looks! : D Reply Delete
Hege: I have not tried to make this with soy milk, etc so not sure how it will be then. But for my taste gives coconut milk is the perfect sauce here (LOVE coconut !!) both in terms of flavor and richness. Reply Delete
Thanks for the recipe - this was good! Reply Delete
You have a fantastic blog! Created autumn casserole today and is absolutely chock full - unbelievably good! My son of 10 years came home after eating dinner with a friend, put his face down in the pan with the remains togen and exclaimed excitedly, "Åååh: togen It smells good!" Will not be surprised if the remains are eaten up before the night is over (although I hope that there will be little left for me for lunch tomorrow;)) Will definitely try more of your recipes. Now I am waiting for your book which I ordered today. It's things like that that are helping to make my day fine :) Reply Delete

I've tried this one :) Good soup. Is maybe more than a lot with a whole ginger for me (can not remember ...), but it's just adapting my own palates, so it is perfectly fine, it. Next time, I remember having with lime slices on the plate and add something extra acid. Reply Delete
